I think it would be fine. Seal your crimp connections as well as you can to avoid corrosion.
So I am upgrading my factory 8awg wire to 6awg for my new 80# 24v terrova.
I have large amounts of 1/0, 4, 6, and 8 awg amp cable from my mobile audio hobby. My question is can I use it for my trolling motor? It is high stand count, super flexible, and tinned ofc.
I figure if it works under the hood it would work fine on the boat!

Old enough to know better and way too old to care!
When you say high strand count, how high? You may want to use the AWG 4:

This is the stuff I use for my amps. I just noticed it says marine applications. Some of the best on the market.

Works great. Rigged my old boat with it and could really tell a big difference in trolling motor performance over original wiring. Had one guy tell me the insulation would degrade over time buy its about 11 years old and looks just like it did when I installed it. I'm like Tracker, if you have the 4 and its small enough to fit plug that's what I would go with.

Depending on length of run, 4 or 6 will be perfect.
