you are at max rpm, per Mercury. Now call power tech props, give them all your info, boat make size, motor, load, etc. They will get you into the best prop for your conditions. They got me a 3 blade stainless that made night and day difference. I have a 50hp on a 171/2 ft boat, under certain conditions I can run almost 40. Average around 35

havnt compared prices, I can't remember what I paid, but I'm sure it wasnt a lot or I wouldn't have. Cheaper than a Merc prop. Get the numbers and shop, Michigan Wheel might be cheaper. They convinced me they had the prop I needed, they told me exactly what to expect and I'm very satisfied.

I spoke to Josh at Power Tech today and he told me that my current prop and rpm were right on specs and that he doubt he could better me. He said that he could sell me a prop but performance wise I would not be gaining anything. Soooo, kudos to Josh for being honest and not being a money hungry salesman. Also, thanks to everyone that offered input on this thread. Tight Lines!
