I was told by my dealer that they are good for 100K, and they take a special grease/oil only. Hope this helps.
As some of you know, I bought a new ( to me) boat this weekend. Trailer has "The Vault- Hybrid Lubrication System" hubs. I am totally unfamiliar with this technology. It seems that you NEVER have to grease these bearings? Any of you that use em, please give me lowdown on maintenance and care for these hubs. What do I need to do to them, and how often. Thanks!

If your trailer is not brand new.. it sound like it has some miles on it. Drain old oil by jacking up wheel first. Turn wheel to you see hex head set screw. Remove set screw and turn wheel 180* and drain oil in catch pan ( let drain for 15 min per side longer in colder weather) replace old oil with Lucas hub oil ( 32 oz. bottle for about $10.00 $12.00 ) replace set screw. Go fish. No more hub worries for long time. Note.. I put a little piece of Teflon tape on set screw for safe keeping.. but that's just me.
Mist read your thread.. The application I mention is for a oil bath system found on ranger trail and some other makes not for The Vault- Hybrid Lubrication System. This system takes a special grease that liquefies at 150* and when set in water turns back solid.
