Default Upgrading to 36 volt TM

I am going to add a new Ulterra and have been trying to figure out the battery layout. I know I can fit 3 group 27s but not sure I can get 31s in there and will likely need a custom battery tray. Anyone have any ideas on a tight tray for 2 group 31s with no wasted space. I found one for the 27s but can't seem to find one for the 31s.

Also having trouble with no room for a 3 bank charger. I have two spots that are 9x7 and one of those spots has my current 2 bank ProMariner 5/5 mounted. I was thinking of just mounting another 5/5 and using it to charge one of the batteries in series and the crank battery. I believe batteries in series charge independently but does anyone know of any reasons why not to use 2 different chargers? I really can't find the space where the leads would reach and everything I am reading says don't lengthen the battery leads.
    Thanks

Unless your in a awfull big boat and going to pull cranks all day the 27's should work just fine. That 36 is much more efficient than lower thrust motors. You could mount your second charger for 2 batteries just like your talking about and be just fine.

Thanks Cray. I should have provided a bit more detail on the setup. Came here for this question because of all the smart folks. My current 24 volt 80 lbs MK edge moves my Lowe Stinger 195 just fine on a lake while crappie fishing and I have never had a problem running all day. Where it fails is when I catfish on the Mississippi and Missouri rivers because I have to run it on the highest setting to slow the boat enough in the current to keep a movement over ground speed of 1-1.5 mph. Current can be as fast as 5-6 mph. Now I can only get about 4 hours of fishing time in before she dies. Plus the cable steer sucks in the current. I love fishing for cats as much as crappie.

First thing the terrova motor is much more efficient than the edge so with that being said the 36-112 should give you the added power along with extended run times your looking for. Plus the ability to use the navigate button will make it a lot easier to run.

I completed the battery compartment and added the 3rd TM battery and a second 2 bank charger. Now I am just waiting on the Ulterra which I ordered today. I removed the Edge and was thinking of what to do with the recesses box that the foot controller sat in. I think a tempress 1317 hatch will cover it nicely. I was going to get a hatch with insert liner but cannot find a liner shallow enough. I only have 7 1/2 inches to the hull. The foot pedal box is only about 4 inches deep but would be a nice place for pliers, hook remover, etc. however, I have a heavy meat tote that is about twice the size of the opening and shallow enough. I may just mount that under the hatch to get a little more room.
Can't wait until the TM gets here.
