Default thinking about a new TM

I have a 17' War Eagle. Right now it has a 60hp E Tec and a 55# MK Edge. The TM does OK except when trolling into the wind, plus I can't control it from the back of the boat. I think I'd be better off with a 70# thrust TM. What are your opinions, and where could I find a used one instead of paying over $600 for a new one?

I run a 55 terrova on my 17 Wareagle and don't have any trouble fishing in the winds I'm willing to fish in. But your wanting to control from back of boat dictates a terrova, or PdV2 with remote pedal, Co pilot or Ipilot. Yes if buying another one I would go 24. Sign up on BassBoatcentral and WalleyCentral watch there for sale along with ours. Some good deals to be had out there if you are patient. Another good place to watch is Cabelas, look for display models and refurb units.

I just saw a few days ago Cabelas had the older Powerdrive v2s and Terrovas on a pretty good sale, probably making room for the new versions.

Be sure to check with our sponsors too. It's very rare that their prices can be beat.
