Thread: Wires for boat trailer!

Finally decided to replace wires on trailer. Thought I had done things the way my friend Bill has been teaching but NOTHING. He came over and after checking bulbs, all good, he started with ground and went on. Main problem was connection on the truck is getting worn. Just to be sure ran ground to each light Good to go this morning as soon as it gets a little lighter.

Ground is typically the major source of problems on trailers. Best to run a ground to each light and a ground wire to teh trailer frame. Also make sure hte truck side has a ground wire to teh truck frame from the harness. Don't count on the ball to be the ground.
