    Default Bent prop shaft

I was loading my boat the other day and the motor found a rope and apparently the torc of the motor was great enough when it bound up it bent the prop shaft.

I was wondering if any one could tell me if it can be straightened out of if I need to find a new one?
    Thanks.

You didn't say which brand OB you had but the website below has parts breakdowns for all brands.
The sell parts also, but the biggest advantage is you can look up the part number and then google it and find the lowest (or closest) place to buy it.

probaly has to be completely disassembled, may as well just have the lower unit rebuilt/freshened up while your at it,, new bearings, seals, inspect the rest of the internal parts,,,, use to be a place on line you can get rebuilt lower units exchange,,was think n of getting one outright for my 150 yamaha to replace a jet pump and was less then half the cost a factory new one,, memory serves me think it came with a 3 year warranty,, could be less to have yours done depending on how many parts would need to be replaced in your and a lot of that depends on age and usage
