    Default Mariner 225 rebuild?

My grandson bought a '96 model Basscat with a 225 Mariner. The place he bought it fro didn't tell him that the previoous owner had plugged the oil line and was mixing the oil and gas. Long story short, he was fishing Sat in a tourney and burned a piston. Hasn't even made the first payment on it yet. Anyone have a close guess what it would cost to rebuild this engine?

Finding a place that will do a major rebuild this time of year may not be easy. Getting a reman powerhead swapped out will be easier. If the oiler was disconnected and the fuel not pre-mixed, all cylinders will be toasted. Expect billing to be north of 4k.
    I'd rather be fishing.
