Motor hard to restart
My 1988 60 hp Mariner fires right up and runs great however when I stop to fish and try to start it again I have to lift the manual throttle to get it to fire. Any thoughts?

One carb could be flooding just a little. Putting a little extra gas in intake, like over choking it. So the extra air when you open throttle lets it lean it out so it will start. Could have a float sticking. I would dose up the next couple of tanks of gas with SeaFoam real good and run it. See if that dosn't help. If not you may have to rebuild carbs.

Thank you, Sea foam is now in the tanks.
