    Default 2 stroke oil


    I recently bought a new boat...well new to.me anyways. Its got a 1981 evinrude 35go motor on it.was wondering what kind of oil would be good to run in it and what kind of lower unit oil would be.good. before I had an old 1955 merc 6hp I just used to.run the Wal-Mart 2 cycle oil in it and my dad had some merc lower until oil he let me have. So I'm wanting to take better care of this motor and need some advice

    That Walmart oil meets all the specs for your motor. Made in the same plant as most name brand oils. Ran it for 15 yr's in a 40 2 stroke with no problems. Gear oil same deal. Just check to get the right weight for your motor. Some call for 50/70 and some 70/90

    Look for the TC3 triangle on the label, if it has this your good.

    Oil is cheaper than metal , buy the good stuff !

    Use recreation fuel in that motor. No alcohol.
