Motor starts, low idle rough and have to keep fast idle lever up, hard to get into fwd or rev without it dying. If I am lucky enough to get it into gear without dying, will run very sluggish and not get going fast enough to even cause much of an idle speed wake. Sometimes it will all of a sudden take off and run great, get up on plane and push the old Ranger 373v at 48 mph according to the gps. All three carbs have been taken apart and cleaned. Trying to track the problem, I stuck it on the cups, fired it up having to leave the fast idle lever up slightly. I unplugged on spark plug wire at a time finding out that my entire starboard bank is not firing. each cylinder has it's own coil so I don't think all off them went out at the same time.
Is there anything electrical that would effect the starboard and or port side cylinders as a whole? I happen to have another motor that I can use for parts.

I changed out the Starboard side power pack and that's what fixed it. Thanks for responding! Thanks to Kelly Davis for pointing me in the right direction!

Glad you got her fixed! I was going to point towards a power pack or a coil. Glad Kelly was able to point you in the right direction
I have OCD "Obsessive Crappie Disorder"
had a power pack go bad on a 100HP V4 it wouldn't shut off.
