    Default Question ... on making Fish Shocker ??


    Greeting everyone .... Can I make a fish shocker ... out of a Lionel Multivolt Transformer ... 120 volts / 60 watts Alternating Current ...... as seen in picture ...

    If I can .... how do I wire I to work in a shallow slow running creek ? Any help would great ....

    I would not if I were you. First thing good chance you get killed second if you don't the game warden probably going to frown on it pretty bad. Most states it is illegal.

    THANK for the good advice ... the creek is small on private property ...with with no game fish in it ... just several types chubs I would like to transfer to 18 acre private pond / lake for bass food .....

    That is interesting. I would like to know if that is successful for you. We do not have chubs in this area and I have only seen them in real cold trout streams over in Arkansas. I did not know they would live outside a stream.

    I would be careful about transferring fish from one body of water to another as game and fish dept frown on this also....

    Very interesting reads. Looks like those studies have gone on for a long time. Think I might try some old fashoned minnow traps in those streams or get a buddy to help you pull a seine through the shallows. Good luck on your endeavor. Let us know how you do.
