    I just checked my joystick pot. It is 5k. Try a 5 k. If you were close, I could figure it out easy.

    If you have 3 insulated clip leads and some resistors handy, you can check it out by the way. It is easy.

    Evidently motorguide quit making this type motor. I can't find anything on it.

    I got these "extras" with the toon I bought. Just sent them up to the big settlement north of me to have the trolling motor guy check em out & make sure they are kosher. I could be talked into donating one to a good cause but they're purty heavy & the brown truck driver would cry like a baby.

    Got this from Amazon. Soldered it in & she works like she's s'posed to now. This is a much better unit than the one original. Nice, heavy potentiometer.

    And, Cane Pole...you are correct (you ever been wrong yet?). I found a little black box under the console with a dozen pretty colored wires that must be the PWM
