    Default Tiny Tach Question

So my question is not specifically about the Tiny Tach itself but rather it and other digital tachs like it. Does it or any others have a backlight feature? It is not a critical feature by any means but I was curious.

Also, can anyone with a Tiny Tach or equivalent product reply with how you like it? I have been tach-less since I have had my current boat. I am in the midst of repairing some ignition system issues and really need my rpm's for that and a timing check/adjustment.

    Thanks!

No back light on the Tiny Tach. I don't know about the others. I have one I use or rather used when I worked on motors. They do the job but not near as good as a marine tach.

I have a Hardline brand tiny tach, and I cannot get the rpms to show close to actual. I bought one for monitoring hours, not rpms. Mine shows 2x the rpm's that the factory tach shows.

I have considered getting a replacement analog tach but they are so dang expensive. That paired with old wiring in an old boat made me look to alternatives.

If someone had some recommendations on some cheap replacement tachs I would consider that instead though. They seem to avg about $100 on Amazon and Basspro.

I have a tiny tach on my 40hp Mercury and it works great. I know the RPM's while on the move and how many hours it has been running. I take it in at 100 hours for tune up. Sorry, no back light on mine. Got mine off Amazon.
