Check your bulb/fuel lines for air leaks
I have a evinrude 150 vro which has been removed so I mix fuel myself but the thing is really hard to start and when it starts most of the time idles fine but on take off it wants to bog but finally takes off and goes and it's fine all day unless I trim the motor up to fish then it's hard to start again....any ideas
Check your bulb/fuel lines for air leaks

Replaced the fuel line from tank to motor and check the ones on the motor itself they seem to be all tight and replaced the bulb with a attwoods brand and was reading on them and some people say them bulbs need to be vertical...have any ideas on that
Go with the OEM bulb and lines.
Attwoods have gotten weak over the years.

Make sure the oil inlet to the VRO pump is capped properly.
It sounds like you have dirty carbs. It starts with poor idling and ends with a damaged motor.
Pull your carbs, disassemble and clean them! The #1 reason for dead Evinrudes that I have seen is dirty carbs, followed by overheating and bad VRO pumps.
Clean your carbs.

New plugs, wires, and coils helped mine.
Electrical issues usually get worse as the engine warms up.
One other thing to check is your fuel enrichener solenoid. Pull one of the small tubes that comes from it, and see if fuel shoots out of it when you push the key. They go bad sometimes, and it causes the exact condition you describe... As well as a gummed-up carburetor.
Question... Does the motor smoke excessively in the beginning, once you get it started? I had one like that last year. It was one or more sticky float valves. Would happen for awhile any time you tilted it up. After scratching my head for awhile, I rebuilt the carbs, including new floats, needles and seats, and all better.
Those are great motors when running properly. Never hard to start, but they do like their gas!

I have a 115 VRO and it seems to leak oil while not in use and the oil light has started to come on occasionally. Any ideas whats wrong?
First, what year is your motor? Post-1995?
When your oil light comes on, your engine is in critical danger!!! Do not underestimate this!!!
Where is the oil coming from?
Is it clean, unused oil? Green or blue or red or whatever color you use? If so, you need to find the source.
Or is it black? If so, that is probably an exhaust leak.
Either way, I STRONGLY urge you to either cap off the oil side of the pump and mix your oil in the fuel tank, or replace your VRO pump with a NEW one. (not a used one from eBay)
They give you a disable kit with the motor. It is a yellow clip/plug and rubber cap, and is usually clipped around a fuel line on the port side of the engine, but can be anywhere, as it is easily moved around. The FACT that they include the disable kit with every motor is VERY telling... At least in my mind.
I strongly recommend disabling OMC VRO pumps. I have at least ten blown OMC motors out back, and about half of them were destroyed by VRO issues. The other half were from fouled carbs, and one of them was from overheating. OMC outboards live a LONG TIME if you can avoid those three things. Fresh oil and gas, clean carbs and a good water pump are the big things.
Sorry for the long post, but I tend to rant about these issues. I hate seeing good engines get destroyed because of "convenience."

Awesome, that's what mine does! Only does it after the motor is tilted...works fine otherwiseQuestion... Does the motor smoke excessively in the beginning, once you get it started?
