    Default Outboard motor delima

I was gonna add EZY-Glide so Brenda and I would not have to switch seats, but without shifter working I am DOA on it.

Suzuki has discontinued shifter kits for certain models. So I can't outfit shift. I want it right. Don't want it popping out of gear, etc.

I looked at new and used 15 hp motors with control. Seems they only have 20hp and above available with remote. My 2008 boat is only rated for 15hp. Same model in 2007 was rated for 25hp. Dont make sense. Most 15 & 20 motors I checked out weighed about the same. It just don't make sense. The Crappie Jon boat had a 25hp on it when I bought it. Paul and Vonna now own the 25.

Anyone know of or has a used shifter they wanna give up?

I sure am aggravated about this bull. Especially about the discontinued parts from Suzuki.

    Open for suggestions.

That one is for 2005 or newer. I have a 2004 and need 67200-89E2. The 2004 kit had been discontinued and the 2005 kit will not work. I checked Johnson/Evinrude and same result for 2004 model. It is aggravating and I was on the phone with Suzuki. They can piece mill the kit but it would be expensive.

As always, thanks for your input.

I ment to put this over in the mechanics corner. Can't do crap right anymore.

Just a thought but, maybe try one of the salvage shops.

Do an online search and start making some calls. Might be surprised with what you come up with

I have to have this kit before I can add a remote. This kit is discontinued.
