Quit being so cheap. Take boat to BRM and have him fix it up with stick steer and a new Tohatsu.

These are the people I been talking to. That is the right control unit, but the kit to replace the tiller handle (remote adapter kit) is not included.

The kit to replace tiller and adapt for remote use is required. That they don't stock (obsolete) anymore, but they can piece mill the adapter kit for lots of money (for their time). Why?

The 15 Tohatsu don't have a remote OTC. Would probably have to be adapted over or get the 20. Hard to find a 15 remote OTC motor of any type. This is based on my googling results.

I prob just get a new motor and sell the 15. I am getting disgusted with the crap. I guess you all know this by now.

The one I have is a good motor with very low hours. Runs like a sewing machine. Hate to give it up cause I know it is a good one and I bought it new and I know it has been well maintained.

I will give it a couple more days for results on my 15.

That is part of the conversion. There is a special wiring harness with special connectors (sound familiar) that is needed for to interface the remote control shifter cable and a plate that the stuff mounts to, etc.

It can be pieced together. It would be about a $1G shifter for the complete conversion. The control box itself is about $600. Bend over Rover. I called a lot of salvage places. No luck.
