I always tell people to think of rulers. Two rulers side by side (parallel) is 12" long but stronger than a single ruler. Two rulers end to end (series) is 24" long.

That's pretty good. I'm going to put that in my notes on my iPhone.

It might not be good to compare and it might not be fair to compare but it's all I had to compare. I run the 2 batteries in series (no need to change them) and I've never ran out of battery. At certain times of the year I look for the windiest shores to fish so I'm not being shy about running the TM. My friend and I were totally surprised at how the set up held up at Ky Lake a few years ago. We fought heavy wind all day everyday and never ran out.
Some one made the statement that he would take ANY 24 volt TM over ANY 12 volt TM. I just gave an example where there might be an exception. I wasn't trying to compare EVERY 24 volt TM to my 12 volt TM.
I also pointed out I wasn't willing to spend the money just to test EVERY TM on the market. Since I have no idea what kind of 12 volt you had it may not be fair to compare it to what I have.

It sounds like the Terrova is a good TM and it fits YOUR needs well and it's good for you but it's not for me.
Here's my problem, I've had MK's and I HATE THEIR POWER DRIVE FOOT CONTROLS. I do like the MG foot control TM's and the Tour series is especially smooth. I will say the speed control dial on the MG Tour Series could be improved. I'm not saying MK's are bad (so let's not go there) I just prefer the MG for foot control TM's is all. If I WANTED a power drive I would buy MK.

    Just sayin
I agree its a good motor. And the way you fish yours may well work. But when you fish current it will not last you long. Plus I was pulling a 20ft War-Eagle with both and also the 754 War-Eagle. Now this 1825 Pro Guide Tiller Lund 12 volt would not even hold it where I fish most times.
Also fishing Ky lake I have fished 3 days without a charge. And there was high winds 2 of those days.
