Default excell boat/ fuel tank issues

f4 excell with tank under front deck. so when it gets down to about an inch left it runs out of fuel; pickup tube isnt all the way to the bottom... seem to be having water issues ( who woulda thunk it) -problem is i cant seem to get all the fuel out which has to be water laden. tried blowing air into fill hole, tried just pumping bulb, decided it aint coming out without pulling tank which is virtually impossible per the factory!!! very frustrating is there a product that will evaporate the water in the fuel left inside the tank? is there a way i could drill a drain hole and a product to insert as a plug/ drain that would hold? ? dont want to ruin the tank but tired of draining the f/ w seperator, and having a crappy running motor thx if you can help

i ran into that problem before. i jacked up one side of the trailer, so the fuel/water would go closer to the fuel inlet. and slid an old fuel hose in to the tank, then pumped it out with a primer bulb. i'd say it got 99% of that old stuff out. i know some of those onboard tanks can be a pain to remove.

Is there not some kind of access to the tank at all? Should have some kind of access to sender, fuel hose attachment something where you can put a hose in and pump out just like Rickswanson said. If nothing else you could put in small amounts of gas instead of filling and over dose with Stabill or SeaFoam until it clears up. I'd also be checking to see where your getting that much water from.

Where are you buying your fuel? Friend of mine buys his at one particular station every time and he is having water problems. He recently drained his water seperator into a pint jar. 2/3 of it was water.

I would check to see filler cover not leaking water into tank and if that was not it ,look for another gas station. Keep your tank full will help with condensation. I have not seen any water in my water seperater/ filter .

May be a good time to install a filter water separator, pick them up at Wally World pretty reasonable around $25 or so, and a pretty decent separator and filter..
