    always check oil level and for water often . you never know when a fishing line will git behind the prop and cut the seal . if the oil is clean and full don`t worry about it .you have a back to bavk seal . one keeps water out and the other keeps the oil in . usealy you git water in befor you start loosing oil becouse the out side keeps water out.
    also the troling motor needs to be checked often never hurts to check every trip .
    retired and now i will always fish
