I have a 1990 johnson 25 hp long shaft. I bought a motor support for it to keep the skeg from hitting the ground then. It is shaped like a horse shoe and it fits into the to tilt holes then the motor locks onto the closed side of the horse shoe. After 24 years of hard use it has broken and I can not find one on the internet. I do not remember what it was called. I have bought a motor toter that goes under the boat to the trailer but that is such a hard thing to do laying on the wet ground with the boat dripping on me. plus it has came off twice and caused some damage.
I am hoping one of you can remember the name of the support, where I can get one or give me another better way to trailer with my motor tilted up.
I am going to assume it is Aluminum. If it is I'd find a shop to weld it back together and reinforce it. Or have a shop build one from steel. I know what you are talking about but haven't seen one in years. Probably not made anymore.
