    Default ???? about Seafoam

I have a 20' Tidewater bay boat with a 60Gal tank that I try to keep full. A can of Seafoam (16OZ) says it treats 8-25 Gal of fuel. Quite a bit of latatude as far as ratios. How many cans would yall recomend for that voume of fuel? I am having some issues with rough idle and loss of power and have changed plugs and cleaned the fuel fillter on a Yamaha 115 4 stroke. Motor has run great since 2007. Several folks say run some Seafoam threw it and problem solved. Just wondering how much?
    I don't fish because I want to, I fish because I HAVE to !

    Moma tried real hard.

you'll get all kinds of answers from a lot to don't use it at all. on my first tank of the season i put a can of seafoam and twice the amount of blue stabi to 6 gal of supposedly ethanol free gas. i don't take any chances of it not being that. after that tank i'll put from quarter of a can of seafoam and regular amount of blue stabil to a tank. i've had no problems. don't know if i'd go that strong on your rig. that would be 10 cans of seafoam. i don't think 5 would be too many. go talk to your yamaha mechanic and see what he tells you to use and how much.

If you are having problems, I'd run as close as you can to the 8 gallon rate.
Maybe if you can run off a portable tank you can run 10 gallons or so through at the high mix rate.

Go to a farm or fleet supply store and buy it by the gallon. Cheaper than the pints.

From what I was recommended to do from my mechanic is to run stabil if you store you're boat for any amount of time. I also run and swear by seam foam. Also my mechanic said to keep your fuel tank as empty as possible. So say you are gonna go out and you know the you are going to use 5 gallons of gas. Only put 5.5 in it.

o'rileys is usually under 8.00 and has it on sale more often than not. sometimes as low as 5.50 to 6.00. watch the windows on o'riley's. they usually have a seafoam sticker on the window.

Never seen it that expensive. I get it for about $48 a gallon regular price at a farm store Rural King, which works out to $6 a pint can. They have the cans for $6.49 every day as wll. Every now and then I'll catch the pints on sale for around $6 and I save a few empty cans and refill them out of the gallons so I have cans to take with me when I go fishing away from home.

If your having problems, find someone with a portable 6 gallon can and put 2 cans of seafoam in it with 4 gallons fuel. Run motor for 20-45 minutes, let set overnight. Next day run again for 20-45 minutes and let set an hour or so,then run it like ya stole it till used up. If that dont get it clean time to see the doctor. But for normal use I would run 3 cans to your 60 gallon tank.
