    Minn kota maxxum 55#.
    noticed a little bit of squealing noise from motor when rheostat is set at 70 or above. not a constant noise, intermittent at time being.
    can I install new bearings myself?
    cannot find a service write up anywhere on this.

    Yes you can....google video on repairing the motor or changing the bearings....not as hard as you think.

    Yes. Changing the bearing and installing new seals is not that difficult.
