Default Has anyone used Starbtite Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment?

I was at basspro in Florida last week, and salesman went on and on about using this stuff to get rid of the ethanol from your gas. I dont have any local station that sells straight gas. I thought I would try it, has anyone else? One bottle treats 128 gallons. Got it on sale for less than 10 bucks. Suppose to have an Enzyme or something that really helps take ethanol out, and help your motor.

I've been using it the past 2 years. Can't say 100% that it helped, but I haven't had any ethanol problems thus far.

It doesn't claim to eliminate ethanol. Rather that it breaks it down into much smaller molecules that more easily support the combustion process and gives a more complete fuel burn. That's according to the printed material that comes with each bottle.

Isn't this the same stuff that claims to restore old gas? If so how well does it work? I forgot to add sta-bil to my gas last fall and now am afraid I might need to drain the tank to get it out...

That's what it claims. Think I'd drain it though. Just don't have that much confidence in it.

I been using it for past 2 years & no problems and all the gas we got in northern Illinois is 10% ethanol.

If you end up draining the gas tank, just xfer that gas over to gas cans and use it in your mowers or vehciles. won't be a total loss than way. That's what I normally due in the spring. You can also try pouring a can of seafoam into the boats gas tank or a good dose anyways, and it will help dry the gas out as well.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I have used startron in my outboard fuel for about 2-3 years based on a reliable recommendation. I believe it has worked well. No fuel problems thus far. I do try to run ethanl-free fuel but use the startron from extra insurance
