I have two outboard 2 cycle motors that have been used during summer months only for about 20yrs. I have used stabil since it and ethanol blend came out and then later seafoam,I have left the fuel in the tanks over the winter and then in the spring I have started and ran them with no problems.
If you want to get fuel at the marinas then do it. But I would not spend the money on expensive aviation fuel unless you check with your motor manufacturer first.
Besides Aviation fuel is 100 octane and most outboards do not have the timing set to burn it correctly. Most of the outboards are timed to use 87 to 91 octance.

I believe av gas used in small planes is 87 octane. My brother owns a small plane & I'll check with him to be sure.
