115 Yamaha 4 stroke. Plenty of power and great fuel economy. No maintenance
I have a War Eagle boat 20" that is rated for a 150 HP. When I bought it, to save money I put my 50 HP Mercury on the new boat. The little 50 HP will push the boat around 38 MPH, but the problem is that the %) HP hasn't got the torque to push the boat up onto the trailer with out having the trailer deep in the water.
Anyway I want to put a something on ti around 150 or better, looking for recommendations on what brand, 2 stroke or 4 stroke, new or used, and possible dealer or location to start searching, etc. Since this purchase is major $'s I want to be sure its the right choice.

I'm looking for a 40 to 60 hp with a tiller
A friend had a mercury 115 optimax that pushed a high sided 18' aluminum boat with windshields and such very well. and it didn't use gas at all. Lighter than the 4 strokes but the 4's are better suited to trolling with the big motor.
