Thread: 115 Suzuki

I am looking at a 2002 Polar Kraft with a 115 Suzuki 4 stroke on it. The motor will not go into gear. Besides a linkage problem what else could it be and are the motors any good? The guy only wants $4500.00 and that seems like a good deal to me.

The linkage problem could be a lower unit problem and 4500 would be gouging you if thats the case. I would remove the lower drain plug and look at the oil, metal shavings, metalic look, water /rust all of these could be sign of a junk lower unit and they usually run in the 2-3 grand for a new one, maybe slightly cheapier for a remanufactored one. I would tread lightly on this one, it could get bad
