Hi : The easiest thing would be to get some ss bolts (not Screws) all top drawer boats have that stuff thru bolted on! So get some 1 1/2 inch X 3/16 or 1/8 bolts and fender washers and locking nuts and blot it down. I have restored many boqats and just finished my little 16 foot Fiberglass baot had it stripped to the bare huil new foam,floor,carpet,etcYou can fix that in 30 minutes and it will look as before!!

i pulled my light fixture out of my fiber glass boat the other evening while duck hunting. i don't have any experience working on fiber glass and was curious if anyone else has had this problem and how you fixed it. if you have any pictures or advice it would be of much help. under the fixture there is nothing but foam so there is nothing for the screws to bite to because the fiberglass holes have had the screws ripped out and no way to get to the underside unless i take the top off of the boat which i don't care to do.
