    I would.

In order for a battery to freeze in all but the most extreme conditions, it had to be dead to start with, and there is a good chance it has case or plate damage as well.

A charged battery won't freeze until somewhere around -90 degrees.

we have seen the teens, but no lower temps.
Yeh, I was thinking battery must have been very low on charge to freeze,, So 3bank charger must have gone bad..

I ordered a 3bank charger from minnkotaoutlet.com , but desided to play with battery a bit. Its defrosted/thawed and charger is on it. It appears to be taking a charge ( voltage is slowly rising)
I am pretty sure batt will be replaced prior to any water trips.. But Hey, this is new experiance to me, and since no-one that has replied ( with same experiance) I plan to charge and maybe take battery to auto store that test batteries for free...??

Catfan said it, a frozen battery has to be dead to freeze, now I will say I have seen a battery freeze, not leak but give a person all kinds of trouble , and one way to tell if it has ever frozen is set it on a bench and look at the ends or short sides, if they are bulged out, some where in it's life it has frozen but a fully charged battery with ground wires removed won't freeze

A battery stored, with wire disconnected will discharge.. I forget exact amount but its something like 7- 15% a mth!!!
A fully charged battery (12.5) may not freeze untill -72 but a batt at lower voltage , than can be restored thru recharge will freeze at much higher temps. Again I forget exact figures. (11v/10v at 0 deg?) I don't remember if I ever read at what voltage a battery cannot be "brought back up to charge"
I did see the water/ acid frozen in this battery, Its not that I don't appreciate your input. I was just wondering if.... Anyone here has actually brought one back

Sometimes they will come back from the dead. But they usually dont provide the power they were designed to.

    Bingo.

The freezing isn't as much a concern as the fact that it was dead before hand. That isn't good for a battery at all.
