I think you are exactly right. The motor is mounted on the 3 hole. Full fuel, water was rough so I was running it mainly in a long cove where I could open it up. I think the 19p will hopefully be the right pitch if I can then get the right amount of cup. With the 17p aluminum it just seemed as I trimmed it up doing wot the prop just would not bite well and lift and push the boat, the prop seemed to blow out easily will any steering movement.

The 21p performed only at the upper end of trim where you start to hear a little louder exhaust but still had a stead liquid water stream still coming out. Until then the rpm was 5200 or so. I would back the trim back only after no more speed was noted and actually started to fall off, rpm 5900 area. Of course I will be having a prop sale at the end of all this but trying to buy used to mess with. Have an aluminum 3 blade 19p Solas prop arriving and then if I ever get this 17p + a little cash in the mail to a guy on here he is trading a 3 blade 19p ss I will try also.

Thank you for all the great advise

I thought I would post some feed back as it might help someone else out. I think I found the prop for my boat. I have tried several, the last one a 19p aluminum that did not perform well at all. Slowest and poorest performing of them all. It was a Solas. The rpm's were in the right range, it just did not perform well for my Lund.

So I ordered a 4 blade SS 13x17 Solas HR Titan. This thing absolutely rocks on my boat. It lifted the stern out of the water great and as soon as that happened the boat just took off. Great handling, hole shot, top end was 41mph but the 41mph felt fast and nimble. RPM 6300-6400 and the blade stayed hooked up through tight turns and trimmed way up. Very happy with it. So if anyone else has a Lund Xplorer 1825 w/115 Merc 4 stroke or something similar I think you will be pleased, $279.00 shipped was my cost.

I'm running a 19p stainless on my 115 4-stroke on a Polarkraft Deep V and it works great. Turns over 5500 rpm with two people, full fuel and full tourney load.

just a little feedback..... the stainless steel 4 blade prop that I've been running for almost 3 years now has been has been performing really well with heavy loads and in rough water.

Not a gain that's worth it.

The trick is getting motor in correct rpm

It does, so I think for anyone looking for a prop for this engine on a heavy multi species metal boat this prop is a winner.
