I have used Gluvit exclusively to seal up the inside of riveted aluminum boats during restoration once the rivits are hammered. The stuff works as advertised. Never used the other product so I have no direct experience.

I've never heard of steel flex but have read many positive reports about Glovit on outboard repair sites.

Best stuff I have used on aluminum is Marine-Tex. They make two flavors, white and gray. The gray is the stronger of the two. It cures out really hard. I fixed a crack on a jon boat weld and never had another issue out of it.
