I ordered a 961 predator from wareagle with out ever seeing a picture of one or finding any information at all on the internet or from wareagle outside of it would be a foot longer and would have a 150 hp max rating. So any way I took the plunge and ordered one painted in realtree hardwood with tan seats and tan vinyl. I a different degree v than advertised on the web site according to Mr Ward that was very nice when I spoke to. I had it outfitted with a 150 HO etech, lawrance gps/finder, lowrance finder up front, minkota 80 lbs saltwater riptide with i pilot, a stereo, pole holders (rocket launchers) for the back, blue led lights through out and a few other wizbangs. I will be happy to answer any questions and i will try to put up a few more pictures.

it is aluminum, and it will do plane and hit 55 in a heart beat, as far as top speed im not sure what it will do on smooth water.

Nice ride, looks like enough V to ride nice. You'll find your fastest water will have a chop on it, I like between 6" and 12 " and running with the wind. The added air breaks the contact and helps it get a few extra MPH. Just some input for when you want to find out what it's real top end is. I bet she'll fly.

I am considering buying a 961 w a Evinrude e-tec 115. How is the performance of your boat iwth the 150? Have you been happy with the boat thus far? They claim that it doesn't get blown around like other aluminum boats. Is this true?
    Thanks

Does it have the "T" lock rail and does it have enough storage to suit you? Can't really tell from your picture. I'm BIG into storage and can't ever have enough. I am going to be the "turd in the punch bowl" and ask what is the base price on the 961?

    Default 961 Predator

I am also new to this site. I love this boat, I have been talking about this boat for about 3 months. I have a 390XT Ranger that I want to trade, Have not talked to a dealer yet. I like the overall layout of this boat it is well planned out and I am a large person and I think I would have enough room in it.I want to say thank you for the pictures, they are the first ones I have seen of it. But like you I was ready to order one without seeing one first. The people at War Eagle told me it would take about 30 to 45 days to get me one if I ordered it now. I hope that you enjoy this boat and are very happy with it. She is a real sweet looking machine. prt3364

Now that you have had this boat 5 years do you still love it? Would you buy it still? I am thinking about buying one. But going with a Yamaha 150.

I ended my search for a new boat. War Eagle was my first choice when shopping. But I ended up ordering a new Xpress H 20 PHC crappie boat w/150 Yamaha.
