Can you replace just the sensor, or is a new tank required.

    Thanks

The sensor isn't the problem, it's the float inside the oil tank. Noway to fix it other than buying a new oil tank assembly.

Just for trial and error , I can order the sensor seperate for $13.00 so I am going to give that a try first....the oil tank is $113 to replace so I will go cheap first and see what happens, the sensor comes out from the tank with 1 screw , but if the sensor is looking for the "float" then that might be the ultimate problem......will let you know...... I am sure others have the same issue at some point or another.......

    thanks again for the information......

Id try draining it first. those tanks sweat alot and the water will condesate on the bottom on the sensor and set it off.
Thats what dad told me and it worked on mine and hes been a merc tech for almost 40 yrs!
