    Default johnson controls

I have a johnson 30 hp that I believe is a 1993 model with omc controls, I am maybe going to look at a 1998 50 hp without any controls. My question is am I going to have to purchase new controls or will mine work fine? The motor looks to be in great shape and has tilt and trim for $2100.00. Does that sound reasonable?

I think they might work, the years are kinda close. I'm no mechanic. You might pose this question on Iboats.com. It's free and those folks have answered a few questions for me in the past.
