Seafoam has alcohol in it and that's what you are trying to get away from. Use non ethanol gas if you can find it. Bought my boat new in 07 and that's all I've used since I've had it.

I use SeaFoam everytime I fill up and have had zero problems so far.

Thanks for the info guys. I just bought some marine stabil and I think I'm going to go buy some seafoam also.

I like the Seafoam
Seafoam at every fill-up. Stabil in the first and last tanks of the season.
I've been using Amsoil Quickshot SE, been working good so far.
I like the stabil and marine stabil for my boat and small engines. I usually use the sea foam in my engines when I think the carb needs a little varnish cleaning. But sea foam will work well for stablizing gas also. Both are good products. I figure if you go by the directions on the bottle, stabil would be a little cheaper. I also add Mercury Quickleen at every fillup to try and avoid some carbon issues too. ( I like to troll alot ) Have had success for 3 or 4 years now with no trips to the doc. (knock on wood )

Seafoam is expensive. I found it by the gallon at a farm supply store. Otherwise buy a bunch of it when it is on sale.
