Default War Eagle Predator 861 paint peeling

Have any other Predator 861 owners had problems with the exterior paint peeling???? They took mine back to the factory in mid June to be repainted and I am hoping to get it back next week.

Paint came off mine around the gas filler where gas spilled over the side. They repainted it at the factory, but was done at my convenience. I used the boat a few months before I sent it back. I received a bunch of BnM poles and some Ducks Unlimited bags for the inconvenience.

jheff's Xpress had the same problem.

Mid June to September seems a little long? I could paint a boat in a couple of days. Dip it in Camoflage less than a week for sure. They do this everyday on new boats...right? Not trying to start arguement, or be negative minded, just if it was my boat I'd be upset.

Yes Crappiemaster4ever I am upset but it is partially my fault because I told them I was going to be out of town in June & part of July and wouldn't need it till I returned. I kept getting the run around after I returned so I called John Wood, the #1 War Eagle man. He did get it painted but they still haven't delivered it. It is a 6 1/2 hr. drive, one-way, from my house to their factory so I told them if they could get it to some dealer north of Memphis I would pick it up. It is supposed to be delivered to Union City Marine Aug. 30 or 31st.

Easy to paint a boat that had not been finished out. But when a boat is taken back they have to remove a lot of stuff on some to even get to the paint point. Be like your House easy to paint when everything is out of the house. But fill it up and its a different issue.

Don't hold your breath and don't expect a call from Johnny Garrett at UC Marine because he's too busy to call anybody. Been there done that.

Canepole did you carry your boat back to the factory or to a local dealer for pickup? Also, how long did it take to get yours back?

Sounds like you had the same treatment we got . Bought 3 new boat from 2002 until 2008 and drove up there to buy the 2072-LDSV but he did not have time to call us back. So went somewhere else.
