    Default Need advice

I have a Bass Tracker Panfish 17 and the aerator pump will not pull water in livewell without putting motor in reverse to prime it. I have friends with boats and don't have to do this. Anyone else have this prolem? What did you do about it. Replace pump with larger oneor can it be fixed. I think this is just another Bass Tracker cost cutting problem. I could be wrong, then again, who knows. Thanks for any suggestions.

You might check the hose between the inside of your transom and the pump....

If the hose is directed "up" from where it connects to the transom and then back "down" to connect to the pump.....this creates an air pocket in the hose that the pump will not pull thru the pump...thus...no prime...

Try to direct the hose in such a way that this air pocket will not form between the transom and the pump....

Like RNVINC mentioned, one of the most common reasons for this is the output from the pump is not pointing up.
