Red face Noisy seat mounts and pedestal

I got seat mounts and pedestals at walmart.
Just the standard aluminum models. They are the nosiest creakiest, loudest
things you could imagine. I put marine grease on them but to no avail.
even when still they make racket.
    Anyone know a remedy?
Yesterday it got so bad I came home. I was embarrassed that another crappie fisherman 50yds away was disturbed
    Thanks

    FIN,
Try a nylon (plastic) shim or insert.
If you have one of the old tyme hardware stores in your area you might be able to find some to adapt to fit as you need them. You might need to think out of the box and get something not actually made for that but will work. Like plastic pipe.
