Probably a bent axle. Just loading the boat and hauling on the highway and it bounceing will bend the axle eventually. Try a spring shop to see if they can re arch the axle or you might have to replace it and see if you can get a heavier axle to lessen the chance of it bending again. Ferdi aka Fred

Let us know what the wear pattern looks like and we can get a better idea of the problem.. It could be as simple as the tires being badly out of balance or a crooked or bent wheel or wheels. Lots of folks think you don't need to balance trailer tires. You can't feel them bouncing and vibrating like you would on your car or truck, but it still causes them to wear and because of the vibration it is harder on the trailer and what rides on it

Here is a link that explains the causes of various wear patters

these tires came on the trailor new i was just wondering if it was just a cheap tire . the tread on the tire is realy cupped out bad looks like the outside more than the mid of the tire . i just hope it is not a bent axle from factory.

cupping n a car is usually out of balance causing the tire to bounce thus causing the cups when it hits back on the road. Try getting them re-balanced, can't hurt none. You might have thrown a weight somewhere and not even know it. JMO

If it was a bent axle the wear should be relatively even all around the tire. Bad shocks or struts on a car can cause wheel hop and lead to cupping, but trailers usually don't have shocks.
My money is on them being badly out of balance, although I once bought a set of aftermarket rims that one of the four was off center causing it to hop like crazy. I posted a link earlier of tire wear and the causes
Hope you get it figured out. A new set of tires could add up to a lot of new Crappie gear:D

Cupping is usually caused from being out of balance. Once are badly cupped is little you can do for them. Replace and have them balanced.
