    Talking Bow Mount trolling motor

    Greetings all,
It's a "SNOW DAY" hallelluah! My question is has anyone ever heard of converting a bow mount pedal controlled trolling motor to a hand control? It's a 1994 Motor Guide - works great but I hate the "foot pedal" control, too much clutter. Probably less trouble to just buy a new one but I thought I'd ask.
    Thanks all

Yes and no..... I have a foot controlled TM but do not have suitable place (horizontal) for it to rest. So the previous owner mounted it vertically and mounted a metal 1" pole to the pedal to steer with. I mounted a TM momentary switch on the floor next it.

Picture of the TM switch I installed..

As far as removing the foot control completely I have not seen anything done like that.

    very neat idea
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Thanks FroggerZ for the idea. This is exactly why this site is so great. My hat is off to the man who came up with this idea.
