If its pumping a solid stream its not the water pump. All we really know when water is coming out is that the water pump is working. That doesnt neccessarily mean its cooling the engine properly. Most engines the water output is in the water jacket and thus is pumpin water from there and not from the cylinder head which means you could ahve some blockages in the water passages to head and the water pump is working fine. If the stream is very weak it could be the pump or it could be the muffs. Back the boat in the water somewhere leaving it on boat and fire it up and see what she does then? But again. If the stream is strong the water pump is ok.

Back it in at a launch as the previous poster said, then observe what happens. I would never rely on muffs to trouble shoot a cooling problem. If it gives a steady stream at the pee hole while in the water, and you still get the alarm, I'd have the thermostats checked.

I`m thinkin possibly blockage, cuz now that I think back on it when I started the motor it took a little bit for the water to start comin out the pee hole longer than it usually took on previous flushes, its a solid stream but not real strong..thanks for the input

    change it to be safe...

It will almost always take longer for the pee stream to come out at the lake than on muff...you are pushing water in with muffs...you are pulling in the lake.

That motor has two thermostats if I remember right. The 110 is a 4 cylinder. You should be able to hold your hand on top of the engine at operating temp for 5-8 seconds without being burnt. That sounds crazy but is true. Try taking out the thermostats and try it. They will be on each side of the block. At the top or at the bottom in the center.
