Now that I'm retired I get to fish and hunt just a tad bit more. Still referee part time to stay in shape, but now I get out on the Upper Bay a bunch more.

    Here's what I'm catchin now.

I know these are near the size of the fish in the Lower Bay or Seaside, but there weren't many days (above Hart Miller Island Area) that we didn't come in with a 3 or 4 person limit doing nothing but jigging at least 2 days per week

It's been a great year. Looking forward to now get into some winter crappie......after the walleye water freezes up.

Next year any of you guys on the Lower Shore want to "trade a trip" for one on the Upper Bay just let me know.

Congratulations on your retirement. I'm still trying to get use to it. Nice bunch of eyes and stripers. Looking forward to seeing the crappie and perch you catch.

    Thanks D,

If you like the pic you should see the Video of him catching the 34". It's my Son-in-Laws young brother. First time striper fishing.

It took him over 3 minutes. If it works right this should be a link to the last 30 seconds of the fight.

Exactly - didn't make nearly as much as I would have if I had went into Electrical Engineering as I had planned, but I got out in one piece and I can hopefully enjoy many more retirement years.
Love to trade a walleye trip for a Tog trip.....

Mike - I don't think he slept for 2 days afterwards.

Keep him occupied. Fishing kept me out of trouble when I was a kid.

There was job security until recently. Like MDCrappie I would have made a lot more money working outside of the Government, but I would still be working.

Nice fish catching. Congratulations for you keeping active in retirement and taking the child out to learn our great past time sport of fishing and hunting. I am looking forward to retirement within the 5-10 year horizon and am looking forward to more fishing and hunting time during the week too.
