Headed south on a rainy cool windy Saturday morning at 6:30. Stopped at a couple of reported areas where snakeheads have been caught with no luck. Casted topwater and spinners and caught a couple of hickory shad. Saw a lot others rolling on the surface, got soaked threw my winter coat. Headed to one of my better crappie spots and waited for the rain to subside. First off I caught a 12 inch yellow perch on a minnow. Casting a small white twister tail began catching nice fat crappie to over 12 inches. Ended up keeping 16 crappie and the yp. Left for home at 11:30 with the fish still biting. My best outing for this spring. Hope that the two picture attachments work as I am kind of tech challenged.
