Thread: Crappie report. 3/6, starting to see some with roe

Caught a dozen crappie this afternoon in a farm pond. Kept 6 for dinner and three were full of eggs. Seems a bit early but I am happy to say it felt like spring this afternoon when the sun finally came out. Real sutle bite on trout magnet.

Fish have had those eggs since last fall. They just start a transformation as the spawn approaches. Blood flow increases .
