Slow start

We got to get out late sunday and it started out slow just picking and most small ,then as evening approached and we moved to a spot we do good at when its really cold we started banging good ones . Limetruese fin-s was hot bait wt 48 , had 92 on clicker plus 2 yellow perch .

Geeze, look at those!! Well back to the drawing board for me, those beat my big ones by a mile. Fished all day yesterday, went out cocky after my good catch last week found the fish reluctant and light biters. Not where they were 3 days before. By the time I figured out where they were and how they were biting it was too late. Only had 18 on the clicker and only seven decent ones, nothing like these giants. Lessons learned for me, if they arent biting at one spot move and dont get hung up on yesterdays pattern, light jigs are better than heavy, fall rate makes a big difference and fish deep and slow when they are off. Like you i did find the bite improve as it got dark and the tide slowed. I bet today "monday" was killer on the rivers, it just had that look and feel.

Nice catch tear. Found a few on Sunday, but they were in some shallow water. The bite should improving soon.
