Got back out yesterday and tried em found some they were biting real slooow lol. Had to be patient but picked at em ,think the melting snow running into water made a difference wt was 34 only 2 degrees colder then last time on the surface that is but I'm prettysure the temp down near bottom was colder this time. kept 19 crappie and 7 yellow perch.Name: wallys pictures 008.jpg

Looks like somebody's found some soft water; no such luck over here yet. Nice catch!

Nice! Got out today, caught 20 crappie, 10 yellow and 1 white perch, a nice pickerel and believe it or not a catfish on a slow retrieved tube. All on bottom or near it. At least half were caught casting and retrieving which surprised me. Water was 37 at noon, and 40 by 5pm. Only 3 of the 20 crappie were what I would consider keepers. The rest were small. The yellow perch were huge and fat. Wish I could figure out how to find bigger crappie. I'm getting good at finding fish, but mostly small fish.

Zippy, what part of MD you in? I'm in Frederick Co. If you're close, maybe we can get together.

Yeah they are scaley! Love how they go stiff once you lift them out of the water. The white perch my buddy got was a decent size maybe 11 inches. Would be fun to get over a school of them. Oh yeah the Charlie Brewers with red tail were the hot bait, thanks for that recommendation.

Great reports tear-em-up and zippy. I am planning on going after work today. I spoke to a friend that had some success with crappie yesterday afternoon also. He kept 8. I am planning on taking some minnows with me as that's my go to this time of the year.
