Hi folks. New to the forum but not new to chasing slabs. I live on the Eastern Shore and am newly boatless. While I do know some pretty decent spots for crappie fishing from shore, I would appreciate if any body might steer me to some new ones without burning your secret spots. Thanks ahead of time.

Thanks. I've been to a lot of the Dorchester county areas and Barren Creek a few times. Never fished the Pocomoke except out of a boat and that was upriver near Snow Hill. Never been to Idlewilde either but have fished for perch at Red Bridges, Goldsboro,Greensboro and Martinak. I go down to Oak Hall,Va pretty often to visit a friend and pick up oysters. Think I'll have to try the park in Pocomoke.

Two places I know of that are catching them now are, Salisbury, the Wicomico River, you can catch them right off the bank at the public boat ramps on the east side of the river. There is a bulk head and piers that are public area's that you can fish from. The other place is in Laurel Delaware. Look up 100 Park Drive google maps. If you switch to google earth, you can see a train bridge. They are catching them right there. If ya need someone to fish with let me know.

I have seen quite a few folks fishing in the Wicomico at Salisbury but I'd really like to keep a few fish for the table and there is know way I'm eating anything from that stretch of the river. I am familiar with the Laurel location but haven't fished up that way for years. How about Concord ? Heard anything going on in the Seaford area ? Would love to get together and wet a line and I will PM my contact info to you. Thanks very much for the response.

welcome aboard. I fish the Pocmoke often in the spring. Usually do well. Beautiful river even on days you don't catch many. Might also try the Tuckahoe in Queen Anne, you can fish from the bank or launch from the Hillsboro side (with Caroline Co. permit). also the pond in Tuckahoe State Park. The ponds in Idlywild are good but a long walk. I have a permit and am able to use a four wheeler to get to them. Helps save the legs. Always looking for someone to go call me 410-364-5511 I live next to Tuckahoe retired and ready to go. Thanks Barry
