    Default White Perch

My son had off school today so we dicided to try for some white perch today and had a good time. We kept 37 perch , caught many more small ones ,2 rockfish , 4 decent catfish and many small ones. They came on grass shrimp we caught this morning and blood worms but seemed like you had to have shrimp on to get steady bites today. Slow at 1st then bit good on 1st off ebb when it got running hard they quit.Name: wallys photos 176.jpg

Love the Black Lab. Had one I trained for dove hunting. Super dog, lived 13 years.

What river did you fish? I guess they are spawning already.

Nice eats there. Just outside Baron Creek?
That boat looks a lot like the Maycraft 1800 I just picked up except you have a cap on the boat. (Mine is a liner)

In about a month those perch should be up on the Susq getting ready to spawn, I can't wait

Yea they get up that creek and the others right there too. The boat is a 20ft may craft bought it from gootees in 2003 the commercial setup other then the 2 boxes in the stern (dog is on 1) theres nothing in there wide open all the way to the bow floor is just painted, and scaled back to a 115 motor. They had just done some for the state that way for the crews that look after the bay bridge and key bridge and 1 was there and it was cheaper so I ordered 1 .

Thought so. And I meant to say mine is NOT a liner, it is a rolled gunnel boat.

The one I bought has a 90 Merc 4s EFI. Ran perfect in a sea trial. Can't wait to get out.

It's been at least 15 years since I fished Baron Creek. I did win a Bass Tx out of there. Went all the way up where it gets skinny and there is a boat ramp right off the road.

Theres crappie up there under the bridge too. I like my ,its not a parker but way cheaper! I ve had my 20 miles offshore but can also crab and perch fish with it ,pretty verstile.

Exact reason why I picked up the one I did.
I had too many days where I cleared the island in my 16 alum and then had to turn around after 1/2 mile. This one should not be a problem. I also ordered a 60" shaft from motorguide and will extend my tm shaft to use on this boat.
