i'm a newbie here, so please excuse me for butting in on crappie matters.
i've enjoyed this site because it is
not political. and i'm impressed that Tom asks for input here since these guys may be the most interested and knowledgeable in the ways of crappie in their respective areas than anyone, and are apparently
not represented by CCA. but if i understand; it seems like proposing to take some years to study, quantify, and characterize the fishery before proposing a management plan that would be effected through new regulations (motivated by the above-cited anecdotal accounts of possible overfishing) would be a more conservative approach.
