And Honorable Mention goes to Father of 4 for the following poem. Hmm, this smells like another contest for the future doesn't it!
Grandpas Fishin Life Lesson
Many years ago Grandpa would take me fishing a good bit
On the banks next to him is where I would sit
I asked my Grandpa how he got to be so wise and so old
This is the story that I was told
Life is like fishin, you've got to use bait
If you don't get what you want right then, you have to wait
You try many baits until you find what's right
Then you hang on with all your might
Because life will fight you like a big fish may do
But if your drags set right, It will eventually come to you
So don't rush thru life and try to reel it in so fast
For your line will break and your dreams will be in the past
Like line on a reel, your plans may get frayed
Just get new line and better bait and you will have it made
My boy lets not worry about this anyway
For your Grandpa just loves to be fishing with you today
Trust in your heart, and learn what you can each day & year
Because in life's long journey, that's the best fishin gear.
